Sharing my vision with the World

Ceraunus Blue

At first glance I was not sure what type of butterfly this was. When I looked it up, a tear came to my eyes because it appears to be a Miami Blue Butterfly. In April of this year, Miami Blues were put on the endangered species list. I have contacted the U.S. Fish and Wildlife Service to inquire and confirm. The USFWS has confirmed that it is not a Miami Blue, it is a Ceraunus Blue. The USFWS was kind enough to provide a key of the differences and traits of similar butterflies in Florida. If you are interested, I have attached for your review. Thanks for stopping by and viewing!

Here is a short video about the Miami Blue Butterfly.  It is worth the few minutes 🙂

Last Breath

My husband and I decided to visit a new park in the town that I live in now, Lakeland, FL. It was hot and the humidity was high. We were on our way to the car and came across two trees with dying magnolias. The way the sun was shining caught my eye. I snapped a couple of photo’s and this it what I got. My husband said it reminded him of a “Last Breath.” I hope you enjoy this and thank you so much for stopping by.

Before the Bloom

A Bridge in Lakeland

A Bridge in downtown Lakeland that is part of Lake Mirror Park on the outskirts of Hollis Garden. It looked so beautiful to me. I love spending time walking around Hollis Garden and then taking a stroll around Lake Mirror Park.

Ordinary Beauty

FREEDOM

Spicebush Swallowtail: Photo taken in Lakeland, FL in July 2012. My heart was beating what seemed a million miles per second when I saw this raving beauty fluttering around without a care in the world. It seems a butterflies job is to create beauty in the world, and if you really observe, to make us humans realize how free we really are.  It’s the internal freedom that I strive for!  I hope you enjoy these photos as much as I enjoyed taking them. Thank you for stopping by!

Meet Tia. She is a healthy 12 year old feline with lots of personality! So lovable. I could not imagine my life without her.

Confidence

Taken in Tampa, FL. I was walking and saw this flower bush. It stopped me in my tracks for a few minutes. Mother Nature has that affect on me. 😉 I have always considered shades of red the color of confidence.
