The colors of this flower remind me of Thanksgiving and the Autumn season. Although, in America we set aside one day to acknowledge it, I am constantly reminded to be grateful and give thanks daily. I hope you enjoy. Thank you for stopping by!
I hope you enjoy “White Ibis Beauty.” I love watching these delicate birds. They always seem happy and “free as a bird.” Thank you for stopping by!
The Wood Stork took me off guard. It is so pretty, and at the same time difficult to look at. Once you do it is challenging to keep your eyes off it. I hope you enjoy and thank you for stopping by!
I hope you enjoy these pictures of this Monarch butterfly I was so fortunate to capture at Hollis Garden in Lakeland, FL. Monarch butterflies are my favorite. You can distinguish a monarch from a viceroy by the two black dots on the lower wing and the lighter underside. I must admit it was definitely challenging and took quite a bit of time. Thank you for viewing and stopping by.
At first glance I was not sure what type of butterfly this was. When I looked it up, a tear came to my eyes because it appears to be a Miami Blue Butterfly. In April of this year, Miami Blues were put on the endangered species list. I have contacted the U.S. Fish and Wildlife Service to inquire and confirm. The USFWS has confirmed that it is not a Miami Blue, it is a Ceraunus Blue. The USFWS was kind enough to provide a key of the differences and traits of similar butterflies in Florida. If you are interested, I have attached for your review. Thanks for stopping by and viewing!
Here is a short video about the Miami Blue Butterfly. It is worth the few minutes 🙂
This is a Heron that I captured at Lake Mirror in Lakeland, FL. It seemed to be meditating and enjoying the moment of serenity. I hope you enjoy and thanks for stopping by!
